Eurovision 2016

And the winner is...

Does it matter? I mean does it matter over the fact that who will be the next organizing country? I don't think so. I know that there are "two juries": expert groups of the contestant countries on the one hand, and the TV audience of these countries on the other hand. But, and this is a big BUT: has anybody ever thought that the most demanding/ambitious/difficult (in musical sort of way) song and/or the most likable/entertaining song was/is/will be the winner all the time? My answer is:  no, I have not. 

I think this contest is about the competition of the nations' historical similarities or differences, contest about political convictions, and about economic status in the language of the music. Of course there are great songs in the Eurovision every year, but there is demagogy, bias towards kindred nations and so on. 

I know that the Hungarian song by Freddie was great, but I know as well that this was not the best song of the contest, so it could not be the winner, although it was better than the 19th place. And I know that Hungary unfortunately has not been the most popular country...

Anyway, congratulation to Ukraine!

But I am still unsure what the best song was in 2016 for me. I have personnel favorites, like Israel, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Russia and Poland besides Hungary, of course. Every song has its own style and all of them are so different, but I like them.

És a győztes...

Számít ez? Úgy értem, számít ez azon túl, hogy ki lesz a következő szervező ország? Nem hiszem. Tudom, hogy két zsűri van: a résztvevő országok szakértői egyik részről, és a másik oldalon a nézők. De, és ez egy nagy DE: gondolta valaha valaki úgy, hogy a zeneileg legigényesebb/legnehezebb, és/vagy a legszerethetőbb/legszórakoztatóbb dal a győztes bármikor is? Az én válaszom az, hogy: nem.

Úgy vélem, hogy ez a verseny a nemzetek történelmi hasonlóságiról és különbözőségéről, politikai meggyőződéséről és a gazdasági hovatartozásáról szól, zenei köntösbe burkolva. Természetesesn minden évben vannak nagyszerű dalok a versenyen, de ott van a demagógia, a rokonnépek felé való részrehajlás és így tovább.

Tudom, hogy Freddie magyar versenydala jó volt, de azt is tuodm, hogy nem volt a verseny legjobbja, így nem lehetett ő a győztes, bár a 19. helytől azért jobb volt. És tudom, hogy Magyarország sajnos nem a legnépszerűbb ország...

A lényeg, hogy gratulálok Ukrajnának!

De még mindig bizonytalan vagyok abban, hogy melyik volt az idei év legjobb dala. Vannak személyes kedvenceim, mint pl. Izrael, Hollandia, Ciprus, Oroszország vagy Lengyelország, persze Magyarország mellett. Mindegyik dalnak megvan a saját stílusa és mindegyik másféle, de mind tetszik.
