Imádom az "aranykor" filmjeit a '30-as–'60-as évekből. Sok jó tulajdonságuk mellett van bennük valami, amit leginkább úgy tudnék jellemezni, hogy naivitás. Ami megvan Hollywood alkotásaiban, de ugyanúgy a régi magyar filmekben is.
A nők nők voltak, a férfiak férfiak. A férfiak erősek voltak és sármosak, a nők gyengédek és csinosak. Nem akartak úgy harcolni és olyan erősek lenni, mint a férfiak. Egyfajta ártatlanság volt bennük. De ha kellett, akkor harcoltak a maguk módján. Mint egy nő.
Ma megnéztem egy filmet, amit még sosem láttam. Az Amerikai fogócskát, 1963-ból a gyönyörű Audrey Hepburn-nel és a mindig sármos Cary Grant-tel. A film egy fiatal özvegy története, aki a férje halála után jön rá, hogy a férfi egy csaló volt, aki ellopott a kormánytól 250 ezer dollárt. És most a bűntársai a nő után erednek, mert azt hiszik, hogy tudja, hol a pénz. Egy CIA adminisztrátor (nem ügynök) akit a nagyszerű Walter Matthau játszik, segít a nőnek, és van egy másik férfi is, aki mellette áll a bajban. De kicsoda ez a férfi valójában, és mint akar pontosan?
Sok fordulat és talány van ebben a halálos, Hol a pénz? és Ki kicsoda? játékban, de, mivel nem thrillerről van szó, annyira nem vesszük komolyan.
Tetszett a film, tökéletes választás egy lusta szombat délelőtthöz.

I'm so
in love with films from the "Golden Era". Movies from 30's to 60's
have many good qualities, but I like the most that there is something in them
that I can mark as naivety. This naivety is in the films from Hollywood as well
as in the Hungarian films from that age. Women were women and men were men. Men
were strong and charming, women were dainty and pretty. Women didn't want to
fight and didn't want to be that strong like men. There were some kinds of
innocence in them. But they could fight in their own way if they had to. Like a
woman.
Today I saw a film
that I have never seen before. It is Charade from 1963 with the beautiful
Audrey Hepburn and the always charming Cary Grant. It's a story of a young
widow who finds out after death of her husband, that the man was an impostor
who stole $250,000 from the government in the war. And now his fellows in crime
come after his widow, because they think she knows where the money is. A CIA
administrator (not an agent) played by the great Walter Matthau, helps her and
there is an other man, who is at her side in the trouble. But who is this man
for real and what does he want exactly?
There are a lot of
twist and mystery in this fatal, Where
is the money? and Who
is who? game, but since it is
not a thriller, we can't take it that seriously.
I love this movie,
a perfect choice to a lazy Saturday morning.
